After 80 straight days in the hospital, from death towards recovery, she got home, however her life was forever changed. Angelica underwent dialysis treatment for over a decade and half years before receiving the kidney transplant. Angelica's mother was the only one with the ability to give an organ. Angelica as well as her mom, underwent an organ transplant successfully on September 13th 2013 in two fantastic hospitals situated right next to one another - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston.
