MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads to Latin pop. In 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and then released ADN for his debut full-length album. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina that year. In 2021, he performed in a duet with TINI to perform her stream single Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a musical family, his younger brother and his mother are both musicians. In interviews, he referred to music participation as mandatory. In his childhood he was instructed to play guitar, the piano and the ukulele. He initially wanted to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian convinced to him take lessons in singing with a Cuban singer, he altered his the direction of his career.
